A busy first day for Harrogate
Harrogate International Nursery Fair opened its doors on the 2016 show today and the first day has finished with a great buzz all round.
A large delegation of Chinese buyers gave informative presentations, describing their businesses and the type of products they have come to the UK to buy. This was followed by an afternoon of one-to-one meetings with exhibitors who look forward to forging new international business relationships for the future.
The BANTA judges also met in force to peruse the short-listed products for the annual industry awards and exhibitors wait in anticipation to find out whether their products were considered the cream of the industry for 2016. In addition, the four finalists of the Concept & Innovation Awards eagerly presented their product ideas to show visitors and also awaited the judges’ final decision which were announced at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate last night.
Visitors today have been impressed with the number of new products on offer this year and The Hub in Hall H, where many new exhibitors are located, has proved particularly busy today.
Lynda Harding of Sweet Dreamers Ltd on Stand QF2 commented: “We’ve had a steady footfall of independents that have shown a lot of interest in our products and we look forward to an even busier few days tomorrow and Tuesday.”
Harrogate International Nursery Fair is open today (Monday 21st) from 9.00am to 5.30pm and tomorrow (Tuesday) from 9.00am to 4.00pm.
