“The show was very good for us. It gives us a good platform as a new brand to be seen and for buyers to try the products. We met with major account buyers, lots of independents and struck up some great PR deals. The most satisfying meeting for me, as founder, was with a buyer who’d received our sample and had raised some concerns. “When we first booked the stand I wasn’t sure that this week day exhibiting would work for all.

On the first day we hadn’t had any customers till lunch time and it was really worrying – but soon after lunch it got started and we were busy till end. The second day turned out to be the best day for us and were busy from start. Final day we hardly get any customers but this year we managed to get 4 good orders.

So on the whole it was fantastic for us – we missed the small Sunday clients but these, we will probably follow up from the office.

The Show offers an amazing opportunity to have a higher quality meeting with our retailer network over a shorter period of time than is possible ‘on the road’. For visitors the BeSafe Special Offers alone would have paid for most people’s travel costs and significantly more, but the value of coming and having a thorough discussion with your suppliers is of course much, much greater. “Red Kite decided at the last minute to exhibit again at the Harrogate Fair as we have previously exhibited every year and wanted to continue supporting the fair. We are really pleased that we made this last minute decision as we had a really positive and upbeat show! As usual the fair gave us the opportunity to showcase some new product launches from which we received fantastic feedback from buyers and customers. We were really pleased that we entered the BANTA awards this year as both products submitted were short listed and we won the In Home category for our new Panda Booster! Footfall did appear to be less than previous years yet again, and the move to mid week did affect attendance from some of our independent customers. However most key buyers attended the show and I would say we definitely had our busiest ever last day at a show!” Debra Tucker, Red Kite

“Every year is different and this year Harrogate was more about quality than quantity. Despite scaremongering that no one would show, there was a real buzz around from both visitors and exhibitors and a sense that business was being done.

Nicola Carrera Cheeky Rascals had a brilliant show and great to see so many retailers for 3 days solid.
Andrew White It was compact but it meant there was more time to look at other products and because I went in the Thursday I got to speak with everyone and was given plenty of time with everyone, worth it for that reason alone, here's to next years show!
Tracy Williams It was our first time to attend as we only opened our store last October we found it very beneficial to make contact personally with both large and small brands, many new ideas for 2017 stock.

Cassie Kealey I was there for 2 days with Bebecar and didn't stop. I love seeing everyone face to face and we took some great orders, can't wait to get the new range out to the stores now x
